SILC Winter Leadership Camp

The SILC Winter Leadership Camp centres around measurable learning outcomes that are seamlessly integrated and applied into all outdoors activities. These range from ice climbing to snowshoeing and from mountain expeditions to cross-country skiing. Students develop skills in goal setting, time management, global citizenship, communication, teamwork and more – all while having the time of their lives. Great adventures and challenges

Students embark on a week-long winter adventure, including amazing outdoors activities ranging from snowshoe hikes and cross-country skiing in the Swiss countryside, tobogganing, first aid training, exciting team games and workshops, leadership training, integrated with activities, evaluation, and personal feedback after each activity. All activities and workshops are offered in English and a basic English understanding is sufficient to enjoy the camp to the fullest. This winter camp is filled with great activities and experiences to create lifelong friendships, all while immersing yourself in the enchanting and authentic Winter Wonderland in the Swiss Alps.

The Leadership Experience: 21st Century Skills

The development of leadership skills is an integral part of the camp experience, with a focus on topics such as goal setting, global citizenship, and communication skills, all integrated with thrilling winter activities. A team of experts, trainers, and guides take students through fun challenges, workshops, games, and outdoors activities in the beautiful Swiss countryside. After each activity, students participate in evaluation sessions and group reflections, integrating skills to complete their own Personal Action Plans and receive certificates by the end of camp. Altogether, this is a unique experience that is so much more fun than one can possibly imagine.

Accommodation

The campus is located in the picturesque village of Château d’Oex that presents an array of exciting experiences. Students are accommodated in luxurious, comfortable, and ensuite bedrooms. The region’s charm stems from the mountain views and the traditional Swiss chalets that add to the special atmosphere that the surroundings provide. Nestled between the sophisticated town of Gstaad and renowned for its famous cheese – Gruyères, some of the most stunning places await students to explore, cherish, and embrace.

• One-week full-boarding: 2900,- Swiss Francs
• Mandatory insurance fee: 200,- Swiss Francs
