Institut Monte Rosa

Located in a Prime location in Territet-Montreux, Monte Rosa students benefit from a residential boarding placement in a safe environment surrounded by a professional team, while offering an inclusive education for a full integration into the school life.

Monte Rosa is located in Montreux, a prime location on the shores of Lake Geneva only 1 hour drive from Geneva International Airport. An easy access to the Swiss Alps and cities with major cultural points of interests  enables a wide range of activities and excursions offered throughout the year.

Tailor-made programs and small classes (2 to 10 students)  promote motivation and encourage students to take pleasure and pride in their  work.

In addition to creating the ideal learning environment, Monte Rosa provides  an academic program flexible enough to suit each student’s needs, in order for all to fully realize their potential.

Academic year programs, Summer and Winter Camps!

Monte Rosa welcomes pupils from 8 to 19 years old and offers a lot of various prestigious programs such as:

• An International Section (tuition in English): Junior high school and High school program to Grade 13 and University preparatory courses.

• A Trans-Academic program: Business school and Hotel management school preparatory courses

• An Individualized Education Program (IEP) for children and teenager experiencing various degrees of learning challenges

During Winter and Summer holidays, a unique combination of intensive language courses is organized in the morning, followed by a varied program of sports, cultural and leisure activities in the afternoon. A flexible program with a choice of more than 50 activities offered throughout the Summer make it an unforgettable experience.

Sports and Extra-Curricular Activities

Sports

Each season abounds with opportunities for sports. At Monte Rosa, physical education instructors offer training in a variety of disciplines. Our teaching methods combine sports and physical education, an essential base for the development of body and character. The location of the school is ideal, on the shores of Lake Geneva and surrounded by beautiful mountains, offering an easy access to a wide choice of sports, cultural and leisure activities such as: Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Fitness training, Mini-golf, Archery, Waterskiing, Sailing, Basketball, Badminton, Mountain biking, Horseback riding, Running, and Rafting. During the Winter semester, students can enjoy snow-sports and ski excursions in famous Swiss resorts such as Villars, Leysin, Crans-Montana, Verbier or Les Portes du Soleil.

Extra-curricular activities

In order to develop our students’ cultural and artistic sensibility, outings, museum  visits, concerts and other exciting events are an integral part of the school’s extra-curricular activities. Cultural excursions to cities such as Lausanne, Geneva, Lucerne, Bern or Zurich are organised on a weekly basis for all our students.

Facilities

A safe campus of 6’000 m2 offers comfortable rooms, on-site sports facilities and a stunning view of both lake and mountains.

Students are accommodated in spacious double or single rooms whilst boys and girls live on separate floors. All rooms are furnished according to European standards offering a comfortable stay while studying in a safe, structured and supervised family-like environment.

The campus includes modern classrooms, IT & multimedia rooms, arts & crafts room, a Science laboratory, a snack bar, indoor and outdoor sports facilities with a private tennis court.

The main goal of our private boarding school is to provide our students the best infrastructure that is why we are offering a wide range of equipment adapted to their educational and personal needs, according to their ages.
