Mountain Carts at Blauherd
Grab a Mountain Cart and off you go: The ride on three-wheeled go-karts starts at Blauherd and ends after a 1.6 km route at Sunnegga. During the ride you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful Alpine meadows as well as the unique mountain panorama with the Matterhorn.

Forest Fun Park
The Forest Fun Park promises fun and adventure for the whole family, for all age groups. Secured by safety lines, you can step, swing and climb from tree to tree. In this way, you can get a feel for the sport of climbing from the Tyrolean traverses and suspended bridges with different levels of difficulty and at different heights.

Hiking
The impressive mountain world surrounding Zermatt and the Matterhorn that awaits discovery is a real nature paradise for every hiker. More than 400 kilometres of hiking trails lead past lakes and pass through larch and pine forests on marked trails, where the silhouette of the Matterhorn is reflected in the still waters of different lakes. Ibex, chamois and marmots can be seen.

Mountain Biking
Whether one is looking for flow or steep and technically demanding, the mountains surrounding Zermatt offer a wide range of trails between 1,400 m and 3,100 m. When combined with the unique mountain vistas, these guarantee an unforgettable mountain bike experience for families as well. There are 100 km of signed mountain bike tours available including the required infrastructure.

Via Ferrata
The “Schweifinen” fixed rope route high above the roofs of Zermatt guarantees action, deep insights and a fantastic view. It is marked off into three areas of increasing difficulty (SK 2 – SK 4). The fixed rope route is ideal for families with children up from the age 10. The route can be climbed with or without a guide.

Gorner Gorge
The wooden walkways leading between the towering cliffs provide a dramatic insight into the power of nature. He is in the immediate vicinity of the Blatten hamlet and was first opened in 1886/87. There are two ways of crossing the gorge: the upper part of the Gornerschlucht can be crossed in 3 – 4 hours with a mountain guide, as a breath-taking adventure, or the lower part of the gorge can be crossed without special equipment using the wooden installation.

Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

Gornergrat
With its sunny viewing platform that can be reached throughout the year, the Gornergrat (3,089 m) has been the top tourist destination in Switzerland. The panorama is considered to be one of the most beautiful: the Monte Rosa Massif with the highest Swiss mountain and a view over the second-largest glacier in the Alps, as well as 29 peaks higher than 4000 metres – and everything almost so close that you could nearly touch it. Europe’s highest open-air cog railway brings passengers direct from Zermatt station to the summit.
On the amazing journey to the Gornergrat you’ll go over the breathtaking Findelbach viaduct, past ancient pine forests, with views of the incredible Matterhorn appearing every time you emerge from a tunnel.
Rothorn
From the Rothorn, you can see the Matterhorn from its most beautiful side. There’s plenty to see here: the mountains stretch before you, from the Dufourspitze to the Weisshorn, and, right in the middle, the Matterhorn. A special item of interest here is the “Peak Collection” exhibition around the pleasant Restaurant Rothorn. You can also find themed paths about marmots, alpine flora and the mountain world of Zermatt.
