About Haut-Lac International Bilingual School
A Multicultural Environment for Personalised Education
Haut-Lac International Bilingual School welcomes children aged 18 months to 18 years to “live, learn, and achieve” in a multicultural environment with a family atmosphere. Located in Switzerland, Haut-Lac places a strong emphasis on bilingualism, new technologies, sports, and art, fostering daily usage of both French and English.
International Baccalaureate and Critical Thinking
Haut-Lac’s International Baccalaureate (IB) students are constantly encouraged to think critically, challenge themselves, conduct extensive research, and develop internationally-minded perspectives on various issues. This approach prepares students to become confident, driven global citizens, ready to join the most reputable universities and colleges.
Inspiring Learning Environments
Haut-Lac strives to create inspiring learning environments both in and outside the classroom, redefining the ideal education every day.
Bilingual Pathways and Curriculum
Infant and Primary students may follow a truly bilingual French-English pathway taught by native French and English speakers on a one day-one day schedule or a predominantly English pathway. In both cases, the program is the same, as teachers plan together by year group. Haut-Lac students are also the only ones in Switzerland to benefit from a science program with the UK Primary Science Quality Mark.
In the Secondary section, subjects are taught in both English and French according to different academic programs. Lower Secondary students follow the IB Middle Years Program, which provides a diverse and comprehensive curriculum.
Haut-Lac International Bilingual School offers a personalized education system in a multicultural environment where students can thrive. With a focus on bilingualism, new technologies, sports, and art, Haut-Lac prepares students to become confident, driven global citizens ready for higher education and success in the future.
