The International School of Berne (ISBerne) offers a high-quality academic program that encourages students to be reflective and involved in the learning process. Located in the heart of Switzerland, the school starts with the Early Learning Centre and continues through to Grade 12. In 2017, ISBerne moved to a beautiful, state-of-the-art campus, just 5 minutes away from its original location.

Comprehensive IB Programs and US High School Diploma

ISBerne established its IB Diploma program in 1995 and was authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme in January 2007 and the IB Middle Years Programme in April 2007. The school is one of only nine in Switzerland offering all three IB programs. Additionally, ISBerne offers an accredited US High School Diploma.

After School Activities (ASA) Program

ISBerne’s comprehensive ASA program provides students with access to activities not offered within the curriculum, such as band, drama, yearbook, photography, Cub Scouts, arts & crafts, Lego Robotics, and dance. The program is run in three, eight-week cycles and offers students challenging experiences to enrich their time at ISBerne.

Sports Teams and Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) Membership

ISBerne offers competitive teams in track and field, swimming, football (soccer), and basketball, as well as other sports based on student interest and coaching availability. The school is a member of the Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) sports league, enabling students aged 7 to 19 to compete in various tournaments against peers from other international schools across Switzerland.
