Leysin American School in Switzerland
At Leysin American School, we develop innovative, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world.
Our idyllic campus is tucked away in the beautiful mountain town of Leysin, Switzerland. It provides the ideal environment for students, faculty, and staff to learn together in a safe, residential community in the Swiss Alps. We are committed to providing a stable, caring, supportive, family-like environment.
We seek out every chance to connect our students with impactful hands-on learning opportunities, augmenting traditional classes with programs that help students develop fundamental skills in critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and teamwork.
Curriculum
Accredited by NEASC and IBO, Leysin American School (LAS) provides a supportive yet academically challenging environment for students from grades 7-12. Middle School students (grades 7 & 8) begin their academic journey at LAS by developing a toolbox of essential skills and knowledge. Preparatory Students (those in grades 9 & 10) expand interests, embrace new opportunities, and take on leadership roles.
Finally, our program culminates in the Diploma Years (grades 11 & 12). Diploma Years students choose to pursue an IB or US High School Diploma – both programs are uniquely challenging and encourage students to develop their curiosity while simultaneously preparing them for post-secondary success.
