Curriculum and International Standards

Teaching at SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz follows the curriculum of the respective canton, incorporating elements of international educational practice and pedagogical standards developed by SIS.

Bilingual Education from Kindergarten to Secondary School

The SIS Swiss International School Pfäffikon-Schwyz provides bilingual education from kindergarten through secondary school. Classes take place in both German and English, although bilingualism is not a prerequisite for admission.

Bilingual Day School for Young Children

Our bilingual day school, open all day for three- to five-year-old children, ensures a well-supervised, safe, and stimulating learning environment. SIS has created a unique curriculum for this age group, preparing children for a seamless transition into the bilingual SIS Primary School.

Bilingual Primary School

Teaching at our bilingual Primary School is based on the canton of Schwyz’s curriculum, augmented by international educational practices and SIS’s pedagogical standards. Attending our Primary School prepares children for the transition into our Bilingual College at SIS Zürich. Students can transfer from the public school system at any time.

Bilingual Secondary School

Following primary school, SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz offers a three-year bilingual secondary school program. Our Secondary School prepares students for demanding apprenticeships or continued education at college.

High School and IBDP

Our students are supported and challenged in order to be able to obtain two degrees in two languages. At the SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz, young people are prepared for the bilingual Swiss Matura (central examination) and, optionally, for the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma.

Campus and Facilities

The easily accessible SIS campus on Eichenstrasse features spacious, fully equipped modern classrooms. A media center, specialized rooms for music, arts, and crafts, a science lab, and a gym contribute to an ideal learning environment.

Day School and Support Services

SIS Swiss International School Pfäffikon-Schwyz operates as a day school, with school days lasting from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., including optional before and after school supervision times. Flexible offerings accommodate various needs, ensuring all students feel comfortable.

Lunch is available for all students in our cafeteria, and before and after-school care is provided for children in kindergarten and primary school.

Extracurricular Activities

Students of all ages can participate in a range of extracurricular activities and clubs, developing complementary skills or enjoying a break from the regular academic program.

Holiday Club

SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz offers a holiday club during autumn, winter, spring, and summer breaks. Children participate in a supervised, varied program for one week, including trips led by an experienced team.
