Tanglin Trust School Singapore
Tanglin is a vibrant coeducational day school where over 2800 children, representing over 50 different nationalities enjoy learning. Our students look forward to the challenge, opportunities, comradeship, and fun of school life. Tanglin’s academic traditions and approach to teaching are firmly grounded in an enhanced and rigorous English National Curriculum, with an international perspective.
As a not-for-profit school, tuition fees are devoted to the provision of an outstanding education. We firmly believe that children are just as likely to learn outside of the classroom as in it. Our curriculum is enhanced through a multitude of opportunities to inspire including outdoor education trips, special days, service learning and a wide range of co-curricular activities that stimulate and broaden student experience.
We are proud to be the only school in Singapore offering both IB Diploma and A Level at Sixth Form giving our students the opportunity to choose the best pathway for them. A globally recognised, prestigious international school, Tanglin students go on to many of the leading universities in the world.
We create an environment where learning can grow and flourish, and we inspire every individual to be the best they can be. Everyone gets a chance to shine, whether it be in sports, arts or academia. Our students’ achievements are celebrated at all levels, in all they do, and lasting values are created.
Sports and Extra-Curricular Activities
Sport is an integral part of the Tanglin curriculum and we encourage all students to participate and celebrate success at all levels. Our excellent facilities enable us to provide a wide range of competitive and non-competitive events throughout the year.
We participate in SEASAC (South East Asia Student Activity Conference), FOBISIA (Federation of British Schools in Asia) and ACSIS (Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools).
We offer 170 co-curricular activities (CCAs).
In the Infant School, children can participate in activities including the taster choir, music ensembles and swimming academy.
In the Junior and Senior Schools, we offer a range of competitive, recreational and creative CCAs, including Chinese chess, MasterChef, karate, rock climbing, sound design and breakdancing.
We offer the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA), a worldwide recognised award for young adults aged 14-24.
We also offer the Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS), a UK-based accredited learning programme. which focuses on philanthropic awareness. The Bronze programme is open to Year 5 and the Silver programme is available to our Year 6 students.
The school’s sports and recreation clubs (SRC) include Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts.
Throughout the three schools (Infant, Junior and Senior School/Sixth Form), the buildings feature large multi-purpose assembly and sporting halls, music rooms, indoor performance theatres, Information Technology suites, a design and technology facility, drama studios and science laboratories. Each school also has its own well-resourced library and health centre. Additional facilities include an eight-lane swimming pool, large outdoor sporting grounds, canteens, a future-learning room and state-of-the-art media technology suites.
