GEMS Reflective Time for Grades 9 and 10

July 3, 2016

On Wednesday 20 April, grades 9 and 10 had a reflective day on peace and conflict and their impact on human life. After supporting the training programme of Medair via one of their fieldtrips, they had a discussion with Mr Junior Nzita, former child soldier from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Ambassador to the UN programme against child soldiers, Mr Nzita is the founder of the NGO Paix pour les Enfants. The conversation between the students and him was filmed by the organisation Teenergy, and will be part of a movie supported by the Swiss government and broadcasted on TV5 Monde.
