Institut Montana Switzerland
My Place to Grow. Since 1926. At Institut Montana Switzerland, we believe every child has talent. Our mission is to nurture this talent. We are a Swiss international day and boarding school on the idyllic Zugerberg, on the doorstep of the vibrant city of Zug. With a diverse community of approximately 55 nationalities, ranging in age from 6 to 19, we offer both Swiss academic pathways, accredited by the Canton of Zug, as well as internationally accredited pro-grammes. One third of our 380 students are part of the boarding community, growing in a safe, warm environ-ment that truly feels like their home away from home. Located in the heart of Switzerland, our campus is nestled in a peaceful natural setting, providing the perfect atmosphere for our students to focus and flourish. At the same time, we are well connected: just 15 minutes from Zug city and only 1 hour from Zurich airport. Our academic offerings include the Bilingual Primary School, Bilingual Secondary School, Swiss Gymnasium, Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP), Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the High School or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. Graduates continue their education at leading universities in Switzerland and around the world. Beyond academics, student well-being is a top priority. We offer a holistic education through more than 50 co-curricular activities, where students are encouraged to explore their passions—whether in arts and music, engi-neering and technology, or sports such as biking, sledging, and hiking. Combined with small class sizes, high-quality teaching from dedicated teachers, this creates an optimal environment for students to grow and discover their talents. Our graduates leave as confident, well-rounded[AK5.1] individuals, ready to make a meaningful impact on the world. Choosing Institut Montana Switzerland means investing in your child’s future and equipping them with the skills and opportunities to succeed. This is the Montana Learning Experience.

Important information:
• Student well-being is a top priority throughout the entire campus – not only in the classroom but across all aspects of school life. A dedicated care team provides round-the-clock care and support, ensuring a smooth transition to life away from home.
• Please note that co-curricular activities change year by year and these are examples. Most of them are set in stone in the culture of our school, but some old ones fade and new emerge according to the interests and passions of teachers and students. We carry out regular polls among students about activities they would like to see offered.
