Prime School Sintra
Sintra Campus. Two Bilingual Pathways The Sintra Campus offers two bilingual pathways: the Cambridge curriculum in English, with some subjects taught in German or French. Students build strong academic foundations and language skills from day one. Languages: German or French as a first or second language; Portuguese is offered as an extracurricular activity. Core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Computing, Physical Education and Music. Enrichment: Languages, Art, Music, Drama and Technology. Small class sizes ensure personalised attention, enabling each child to build confidence and develop at their own pace. We nurtures curious minds through an innovative bilingual Cambridge curriculum. From Reception through to Lower Secondary (Year 9), we guide students on a journey of discovery that balances academic rigour with creative expression and personal growth. Our programme is designed to develop confident, independent learners who embrace challenges with enthusiasm. Through a rich blend of Cambridge international standards and multilingual development, students acquire not only knowledge but also the critical thinking skills and cultural awareness essential for success in an interconnected world. At Prime School Sintra, we believe that every child deserves an education that inspires wonder, encourages inquiry, and prepares them to flourish—wherever their future may lead. Curriculum equivalencies: Kindergarten–Hauptschule (German system) Moyenne Section–Quatrième (French system) Our Teaching Team Our teachers bring years of classroom experience across a range of educational systems, including British, French, Portuguese, German and international curricula. Many hold advanced academic qualifications in their specialist subject areas, and all share a genuine passion for teaching that inspires students to fulfil their potential. Academic Results Academic excellence lies at the heart of Prime International School’s mission. Our students begin their educational journey in Sintra and, upon reaching Year 13, transfer to our Estoril or Lisbon campus, where they complete Year 13 and are fully prepared to progress to the world’s leading universities — from the UK’s Russell Group, including Oxford and Cambridge, to America’s Ivy League institutions and other prestigious universities worldwide. Our reputation is built on the success of our students. We are educational specialists: we know how to bring out the very best in every child and set them on the path to future achievement. At Prime, our A Level results consistently reflect the high standard of teaching we deliver. Special Educational Needs (SEN) Programme Our Special Educational Needs (SEN) programme provides individualised support within the Cambridge curriculum. Each student is paired with a dedicated shadow teacher who adapts materials to suit their learning style. Beyond academic progress, we foster social, emotional and overall development, ensuring every child can thrive.
