About Shrewsbury House School

Shrewsbury House is a leading preparatory school where measurable progress for EVERY pupil is at the heart of all we do. Academically, Shrewsbury House adopts a problem-solving approach across the curriculum. Teachers are subject specialists who deliver rich, challenging content that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. From accelerated Mathematics and creative writing to AI ethics and science enrichment, boys are empowered to innovate and explore. Several pupils sit GCSEs in Mathematics and French before they leave, a reflection of our commitment to stretching individuals appropriately.

Our extensive co-curricular programme includes over 50 clubs each week, catering to a wide range of interests. The Athlete Development Programme supports elite performers, while music, drama and art provide creative outlets for all. Pupils engage in partnerships, PSHE projects and social impact initiatives – including our shoe donation campaign, recognised by the High Commissioner of Laos – which help to instil empathy and global awareness.
