About THINK Global School
Introducing THINK Global School: The World’s First Traveling High School
THINK Global School offers a truly unique education for students aged 16-18. As the world’s first traveling high school, we immerse students in four different countries each year (eight countries total over their high school career). This firsthand experience provides a multicultural education that goes beyond textbooks. Students gain the expertise needed to drive change in our increasingly global world through a rigorous, project-based academic curriculum. Our Changemaker Curriculum, detailed further on the Academics portion of this page, empowers students to make a real impact.
A Diverse and Intimate Learning Community
Diversity is central to our mission. With a small student body of just 41 attendees from over 25 countries, THINK Global School is one of the most diverse boarding schools globally. This rich mix of backgrounds ensures a wide variety of viewpoints are shared in discussions, fostering empathy and creating lifelong friendships among classmates from all corners of the world.
Small by Design
We’re intentionally small to ensure every student’s individual needs are met. With one of the lowest student-to-faculty ratios globally at 4:1, THINK Global School provides nearly unlimited one-on-one support and guidance as students travel the world.
Holistic Development: Academics and Well-being
THINK Global School recognizes the critical developmental period that adolescence represents. We are committed to helping our students flourish in all aspects of life, equally prioritizing mental health and academic success.
Students meet regularly with an advisor to ensure they thrive both mentally and academically. Additionally, school counselors travel with students to each location, offering crucial emotional support and college guidance. This strong focus on social-emotional health is a cornerstone of a THINK Global School education. Research shows that motivated students are more engaged, leading to improved academic outcomes. We’re proud to employ this whole-child approach.
A Unique Academic Calendar
THINK Global School operates on a year-round academic calendar, blending intensive onsite learning with crucial time at home. Students spend eight weeks in each country, allowing ample time to develop new ideas, appreciate diverse cultures, and gain fresh perspectives on how to positively impact their home communities, all while avoiding homesickness.
Between countries, students enjoy five weeks at home. This time is dedicated to reconnecting with family and friends, engaging in online learning (including background research and preparatory reading), working on local service initiatives, and self-studying for optional AP and other college entrance exams. Even with these extended breaks, THINK Global School students average more days of learning than students in most countries worldwide.
Comprehensive College Preparation
Our Changemaker Curriculum goes above and beyond to prepare students for the academic and social rigors of university life. By empowering students to guide their own learning and imbuing every aspect of their education with compassion and service, we prepare them to become leaders in their university communities and beyond.
Evidence of our success: 94% of THINK Global School students have gone on to university.
An education at THINK Global School includes regular one-on-one sessions with a dedicated college and career counselor, providing students with the tools they need to confidently navigate the university admissions process. While most of our students pursue higher education, our faculty and counselors also provide full support to those who envision a different path to success.
