On January 19 and 20, a group of ISZL students, along with members of the Humanities Department, had the pleasure of travelling to the 2017 Open Forum.
This yearly event is held in conjunction with the World Economic Forum in Davos. Highlights included a debate entitled ‘The Race Against Racism’, a performance by Afghanistan’s first female orchestra, and meeting many WEF Global Shapers, young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a difference in their communities.
The Grade 11 and 12 students were exemplary ambassadors for the school as they participated during sessions and interacted with many of the attendees of the WEF. All students were inspired by the panelists they had the opportunity to see, and hope to bring new ideas and perspectives back to the classrooms of ISZL.
