Swiss Education Group has secured its position as the global leader in hotel management education, with all four of its schools ranking in the top eight of the QS Rankings “Hospitality and Leisure Management” category, released on March 22, 2023. Swiss Hotel Management School has maintained its position as the third best school in the sector worldwide, and the second best in Switzerland. This achievement underscores the exceptional academic standards, sterling international reputation with top employers, and ongoing efforts to elevate the quality of instruction and learning at Swiss Education Group schools.
Swiss Hotel Management School has continued its winning streak by taking third place in the QS World Rankings for the second year in a row, making it second in Switzerland. As in 2022, the other schools in Swiss Education Group also distinguished themselves: César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, HIM and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland ranked sixth, seventh and eighth respectively. These rankings are compiled by independent analysts who assess academic performance criteria and industry feedback.
This success is a testament to the exceptional faculty and programmes offered by Swiss Education Group. Through strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders, its schools offer a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience that enhances students’ employability and personal development. In addition, the Group has built a strong alumni network worldwide.
Dr Dominic Szambowski, Dean of Swiss Hotel Management School, is proud of this recognition:
“I attribute this achievement to our high level of expertise and the relevance of our curriculum, which in every respect meets the future needs of the industry. Thanks to our many innovative programmes, we are able to create new initiatives every year. The reaccreditation of SHMS as an Apple Distinguished School highlights the school’s dedication to integrating technology and innovation into education.”
The whole Swiss Education Group curriculum focuses on innovation and sustainability and is constantly reinvented with innovative methods. Tanja Florenthal, Dean of César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland, emphasizes their commitment to maintaining excellence while anticipating the future industry needs.
“We take great pride in providing our students with a high-quality education, while at the same time offering them unique experiences to further develop their potential. An example of this is an equine leadership course, that we have integrated in the César Ritz Colleges Switzerland programme”, she says.
Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland, the only culinary school in the rankings, sets high standards for culinary arts education and focuses on developing practical and business skills in its students. The school’s approach has produced successful graduates who become chefs or start their own businesses.
More business-focused than ever, HIM continues to evolve to meet the demands of the modern business world by focusing on developing people-centred skills. “Our students are drawn by their passion for business, hospitality and self-development. Here they build their leadership, communication and problem-solving skills through group projects and immersion in the real world,” highlights Ulrika Björklund, Dean of HIM.
