Swiss Education Group and Hublot Sign New Partnership
Swiss Education Group (SEG), the leading Swiss provider of hotel management training, has entered into a new partnership with the luxury watch manufacturer, Hublot. With this initiative, SEG has confirmed its leading position in top-of-the- range hotel training, and will begin offering a new specialisation in luxury sector management at the Hotel Institute Montreux (HIM) from October 2015. This new programme will be supported by Hublot, which will bring its expertise and knowledge in this area to the classes. By responding to the ever-increasing demand in this way, SEG is offering its students the opportunity to explore and understand the booming luxury sector and to develop the skills required to forge a career in this field.
“This partnership represents an important step for Swiss Education Group, which is aiming to develop partnerships with leading companies and to offer individual specialisations at each of its five schools,” explained Benoît Samson, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer at SEG. “With all of the interesting career prospects offered by the luxury sector, we are convinced that Hublot’s expertise in fine watchmaking and brand management will contribute to the success of our students as candidates who are talented, multi-skilled and capable of responding to the needs of this sector,” he concluded.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO at Hublot, added: “This unique partnership with Swiss Education Group represents Hublot’s philosophy of wanting to share its knowledge with the youth of today. We are proud to be in a position to share our expertise, our various success stories and also some of the challenges that we have faced in the past. The young people of today will become the managers of tomorrow and it is our duty to contribute to their future success.”
Close collaboration during teaching
Hublot will contribute to the new Luxury Business Management specialisation programme, which will be launched in October 2015 at the Hotel Institute Montreux. Company experts will work directly with the students to increase their knowledge of the luxury sector. The programme will include lectures delivered by guest speakers and case studies, as well as exclusive visits to the Swiss production site and the presence of the brand at Swiss Education Group events. Hublot is also offering the possibility of recruiting graduates as part of this new partnership.
“Ever since its creation, Swiss Education Group has exemplified Swiss tradition and excellence with its practice-based hotel management education,” explained Florent Rondez, Group CEO. “This is why we continue to forge strong links with a number of big names in the industry, who provide us with valuable feedback. This allows us to ensure that our programmes remain in touch with the realities of the sector and enables our graduates to land exciting jobs on the international job market,” he concluded.
